Frequently Asked Questions
Who comes to my house in the event of an emergency?
We will send the Responder that you tell us to. You can use neighbors, family members, or friends. If your Responders are not available when you need help, emergency personnel will then be sent.
Will someone come to my house to setup the equipment?
Our systems are plug-and-play so this is not necessary. It’s just a matter of plugging in the device and then pressing the pendant to run a test. Each device comes with quick start instructions and we are always available to walk you through set up over the phone. If professional installation is required we can help coordinate that as well.
Do I need to sign a contract?
Not with us. We want to earn your business every month and if you are not satisfied for any reason you may cancel at anytime.
Does the Mobile system use my cell phone minutes?
No, the medical alert system has cell technology built into it and the call is placed directly from the device.
Do you provide service in my area?
Yes, we provide service to all 50 states.
Will the In-Home landline cover my entire house?
The pendants with our In-Home systems have a range of 600-1000 feet. 600 feet is equal to 2 football fields so the distance is quite far. In most instances our clients are covered not only in their homes but in their yards as well. A range test can be performed so you know how far away the pendant will work.
Will my monthly rate increase?
No! We will never increase your rate.
How will emergency personnel get into my home in the event of an emergency?
We recommend that you use a lock box to safely store an extra key for emergency personnel. Help Now can give the code to emergency personnel so that they do not need to force entry and damage the door.
Where is the response center located?
There are actually two of them. One in Rexburg, Idaho and one in Ogden, Utah. The Response Centers are fully redundant, and include backup power.
